UFO-News, immer wieder UFO-News...vor dem nächsten UFO-Wochenende

Donnerstag, der 1.Mai 2008 - der Mai ist gekommen und CENAP-Südwest marschierte zum Publikumstag der Darmstädter GWUP-Konferenz an, wo ich auch einen kleinen Vortrag hielt, der da so ausgeschrieben war: "Kuck mal, was da fliegt" und den ich kurzerhand wegen der tatsächliche MHB-Problematik für mich zu "GWUP, wir haben ein Problem" transformierte. Eigentlich war ich davon ausgegangen, dass das ein Gespräch zwischen GWUP-Pressesprecher Bernd Harder und mir sein sollte - so wie vor genau einem Jahr - aber plötzlich marschierte jener ab und ließ mich zu meinem Erstaunen allein auf der Bühne zurück, obwohl da drei Ledersessel standen. Im ersten Moment dachte ich noch, wo will er hin? Und erkannte sofort, dass das jetzt ein ´Solo´ werden muss. Lass Dich überraschen. Naja, was soll´s? Quick response und so tun, als hätte ich dies so gewusst... Schlußendlich bin ich ja in meinem Thema Profi genug, um sattelfest zu sein. Der etwas andere Vorlauf: Doch noch kurz nach 11 h erreichte mich ein ´Alois´ aus Günzburg, weil er am Abend zuvor gegen 22 h vom Garten aus 10-12 rote Glühkörper halbhoch durch den Himmel für etwa 3 Minuten schweben sah, die auf "gerader Bahn" ohne erkennbare Formation "einfach so durcheinander" so dahinzogen. In den letzten 30 Sekunden "vergingen sie dann einfach" und er hatte den Eindruck, als wenn "da einige dunkle Teile anstelle der Lichter weiterzogen..." Und schon gibts es neues UFO-Meldematerial, wie z.B. diese Videoaufnahme von UFOs über Saltcoats in Schottland - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJZp... - mit dieser Hintergrundinfo: "A quick mobile phone vid of the 4 lights we saw above our house On Sunday 28th April 2008. Weather Balloons maybe?"

Und schon berichtete der ´Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald´ ( http://www.ardrossanherald.com/arti... ) über genau diese Geschichte aus Schottland unter der Headline "´UFO´ Sighting In Saltcoats" dies:

Alex Gibb, 34, had been sitting in his home on Saughtree Avenue when he spotted the four strange lights at around 9pm. He doesnot believe in UFO´s and so he went outside to investigate and took some shocking footage. Alison Kelly was in Adams Road in Saltcoats at the same time when she saw the unusual sight and she and her family were gobsmacked at the sight.<

Dick Cary of McCloud said he saw a brightly lit flying object at about 11 p.m. the night of April 12 that hovered silently over his home just above tree top level for almost five minutes, then "quickly disappeared toward the east. I really don´t believe in flying saucers, but I do know that something weird was happening," said Cary, an employee of the McCloud Community Services District and a lifelong McCloud resident. He said he looked straight up with binoculars and saw what appeared to be a pulsating fire inside the hovering object {!}. "It looked like a giant jellyfish with a fire inside it," Cary said. "There were no canisters or anything... nothing. Just a fire inside it, and there was no noise at all." Cary said he called his son in law and daughter who live on Broadway Ave. in McCloud and told them to go outside and look. Their first response, according to Cary, was, "Holy cow, there´s something on fire. It looked to me as if there was something burning in the sky," said Jerome Walker, Cary´s son in law. "My wife and I both saw it. There was no noise at all. It was the first time I ever saw something like that." Walker also described the object´s quick disappearance to the east.

A couple blocks away from the Cary residence, another lifelong McCloudite, Owen "Shorty" Long, said he also observed a bright light at about 11 p.m. on April 12 in the Squaw Valley Mobile Home Park. Long said he was kicked back on the couch watching television when, "I noticed a bright light outside my window. That just didn´t look right to me so I got up to investigate. It was moving real slow. No features were visible as I recall, just a triangular configuration of lights {!}. I can´t be sure of the size, it was up quite high. I remember red and yellow colors {!}, but it seems there was another color. I can´t say for sure." Long said he went back into the house to call his son, and when he returned the light was gone. "I found out later from the guys who live across from me, they saw something identical to what I had seen, coming from the western horizon," Long said. "This was after I went back in the house. They said it was really bright, blinked a few times, and it too disappeared. It was really exciting for me."

A dispatcher at the Mount Shasta Sheriff´s Department office said to her knowledge there were no such reports made of any objects being sighted that evening. As information was being gathered for this story, a rumor spread that the newspaper was reluctant to publish it. Then early this week numerous email messages were received at the newspaper offices from people in McCloud and elsewhere who wanted the story of the UFO sighting published. One of those e-mails came from Bozeman, MT. Dick Cary said he first saw a bright light towards the east when he and his wife were driving home and made a right off Main St. onto Colombero. "My wife and talked about it but we couldn´t explain what we were seeing," he said. "A few minutes later when we arrived home to our residence on Shasta Avenue, I ran out to the garage and got my binoculars. It was over our house and moving slowly in the direction of Haul Road." Suddenly, he said the light "took off real fast in a big curve in a north-easterly direction, going high into the sky and just disappeared. My wife and I were in awe at what we had just seen."

Cary said after his wife went back inside the house, he noticed another light coming from the direction of Hoo Hoo Park. He said the object, which he estimated at about 10 feet in diameter, stopped right over the top of his house. After remaining above his house for several minutes, Cary said it moved in the direction of Haul Road, hovered a few minutes and appeared to take the same north easterly path as the other light and disappeared. "It was unbelievable," he said. "If it had come down, it would come down right on top of our house. My wife was never a believer in anything like that... she is now. She didn´t sleep at all that night."<

Strange lights floating around in the night sky have been reported in Larimer and Weld counties Monday and Tuesday nights, according to Clifford Clift, the Greeley representative with the Mutual UFO Network. Clift said Wednesday he was notified of four lights in a boomerang formation in sky over Loveland Monday night; at abut 8 p.m. Tuesday, a caller who did not leave a name or address reported strange lights in the area of Weld County Road 17 and U.S. 34 . The light reportedly appeared out of no where, then disappeared rapidly, Clift said. Clift said he was returning to Greeley from Fort Collins at about the same time the lights were being reported Tuesday night, but he did not see anything. Margie Martinez, spokesman with the Weld County Sheriff´s Office, confirmed that Weld dispatch received the call, but said the caller refused to leave a name or address.

Clift said the calls are not new. "In the past six months there has been a lot of activity reported over Fort Collins," with six or seven reports of strange lights in the sky, he said, which would be in line with those reported over Loveland earlier this week. The reports, he added, coincide with reports from other parts of the country. "It´s almost as if they, whatever they might be, want to be seen," Clift said. He said the UFO group has been in contact with the Federal Aviation Administration to see if air traffic controllers have reported any strange activity, but he said he was not confident the group would get a response. Meanwhile, Eloise Campanella, spokeswoman for the Larimer County Sheriff´s Office said Larimer dispatch has not received any of the reports of strange lights. Clift said people wishing to report any strange sighting are encouraged to contact him at (970) 302-9118.<

´Unglaublich´, aber wahr: Gegen 22:30 h kam die ´GWUP-Pilgerfahrt´ von CENAP-Südwest in Mannheim an, um mich an einer Tankstelle abzusetzen, da ich dort noch eine Schachtel Kippen mir holte und die Restmannschaft nach Heilbronn weiterbrettern konnte, um sich dann dort weiter zu verteilen. Nachdem ich meine Suchtmittel mir geholt hatte, marschierte ich ich die paar hundert Schritte heimwärts und schaute einfach mal hoch. Mich hat dabei schier der Schlag getroffen und ich dachte mir sofort, dass das ja überhaupt nicht normal ist und ich jetzt wohl unter ´Verfolgungswahn´ leide - weil: Direkt über meinem Kopf zogen sieben Himmelslaternen in eine sehr groben ´Pfeilformation´ von Norden nach Süden dahin! Ich hatte etwa 2 Minuten Sicht darauf, dann verschwanden sie über bzw hinter einem Hochhaus in Blickrichtung. Zu Hause angekommen, rief mich kurz vor 23 h Martin Z. aus Östringen an, der schon mehrmals versuchte mich zu erreichen. Genau um diese Zeit (etwa) hatte er 24 Stunden zuvor nämlich von der Veranda aus verblüfft gesehen, wie "mehr als ein Dutzend" tiefrote Lichtkörper über den Häusern der gegenüberliegenden Strassenseite leicht aufsteigend zum Himmel dahinzogen - ohne "das etwas zu hören war". Nach 2 Minuten wurden sie aber "abnehmend leuchtschwächer und vergingen". Z. wollte aber keine "Außerirdische über Östringen"-Meldung abgeben, wie er betonte, "aber komisch sah das schon aus". Um 23:30 h erreichte mich Michael H. aus Eggersdorf aus Sachsen-Anhalt vom Malteser Rettungsdienst. Etwa eine Stunde zuvor war er im Einsatz unterwegs gewesen und fuhr wieder zum Stützpunkt zurück. Dabei sahen er und seine Kollegen einen "orange-rot flackernden Feuerball ohne Schweif und Rauch einfach so am Himmel stehen". Er hielt für ein paar Minuten an und die ganze Mannschaft - inklusive Notarzt an Bord - beobachtete die Erscheinung, worauf sich niemand einen Reim machen konnte. Dann fuhren die Malteser weiter, hatt die Erscheinung noch kurze Zeit für sich im Blick, bevor sie binnen Sekunden einfach "nach und nach verschwand". Nachdem H. und seine Crew den Stützpunkt erreichten, suchten sie im I-Net nach einer UFO-Meldestelle und "das war ja ganz leicht, deswegen rufe ich Sie jetzt noch an, aber ist der Anruf mit Extraskosten verbunden...?" Natürlich nicht. Um kurz nach Mitternacht erreichte Maurice M. aus dem saarländischen Warndt, um etwas umständlich zu erklären, dass er und eine Freunde gegen 22:30 h vier "flammende Kugeln am Himmel" für drei bis 4 Minuten über der Stadt dahinfliegen sahen,"wie sie hier gar nicht normal sind". Auch sie waren - wie immer - ohne Geräusch zu vernehmen. Danach gefragt, was ich mir unter "flammende Kugel" vorstellen soll, gab M. an: "Naja, es sah innendrin so aus, als wenn da was Flammende. Ich weiß selbst wie irre dies sich anhört, aber haben Sie schonmal von sowas gehört...?" Naja..., sofort hängte ich nach meinen Ausführungen und der Beendigung des Gesprächs das Telefon aus. Mir reichte es eindeutig und nach der GWUP-Aktion war ich sowieso viel zu schlapp..
