In Singapore gab am am Abend des 16.April 2008 eine mitgefilmte UFO-Sichtung (siehe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2gy... ), die so beschrieben wird: "This footage was taken at Clarke Quay, Singapore at approximately 20:31 on April 16, 2008. Colorful unidentified flying objects (more than 5 objects) was seen flying above the Singapore River for a few minutes before disappeared into the darkness. This sighting had left many people puzzling with unspeakable amazement." Haben Sie wenigstens die wahre Natur der Objekte erkannt? Dienstag, der 22.April 2008. Die ´B.Z.´ brachte heute den Arikel "Hat Robbie Williams (34) noch alle Untertassen im Schrank?" ( http://www.bz-berlin.de/BZ/boulevar... ) und schrieb im Wandel der Zeit (und vor allen Dingen im öffentlichen Ansehenswandel zur UFO-Thematik):

>Statt Musik zu machen, beschäftigt sich Robbie Williams (34) nur noch mit UFO-Fantasien und grünen Männchen. Hat der Superstar nicht mehr alle Untertassen im Schrank? Neuerdings umgibt sich Williams ständig mit dem 23-jährigen UFO-Freak Jason Andrews*, berichtet die britische Zeitung ´Daily Star´. Jason behauptet, von Aliens entführt worden zu sein, die ihn in die Geheimnisse des Universums eingeweiht hätten. Andrews soll Robbie dabei helfen, die Angst vor der Dunkelheit und seine Schlafstörungen zu kurieren. Williams gehört bereits einem UFO-Ring an. Außerdem hat er vor kurzem verkündet: "Ich werde aufhören ein Popstar zu sein, damit ich ein Vollzeit-Ufologe werden kann!"<

Ist es nicht verblüffend wie das Berliner Boulevard-Blatt, welches über die Jahrzehnte hinweg genauso wie BILD, den Retro-UFO-Mythos bestens bediente, und nun so wie gelesen daherkommt? Selbst ein echter internationaler Superstar wird nun als UFOloge nicht mehr ernst genommen und schließlich geht es auch darum, wie das Klatschblatt den ´UFOlogen´ an sich sieht: er hatte nicht mehr alle Tassen im Schrank, hat Alien- und UFO-Fantasien. Was soll man dazu sagen? Für viele Alien-UFO-Fans gilt dies ja auch. Viel bedeutsamer ist aber das Image, das Bild, welches die Presse über jene Leute hat, die sich mit UFOs beschäftigen! Da hat sich einfach in 60 Jahren UFO-Mythologie gar nichts verändert, was UFOlogen vorbrachten und für was sie stehen hat zu diesem ´Standard´ geführt. Da beisst die Maus keinen Faden ab. Und Williams steht nun als Symbol (genauso wie Nina Hagen) dafür da. Als namhafter Sangesstar, der von vielen beliebt ist - vielleicht auch wegen seiner exzentrischen Performance. Aber wenn er jetzt mit UFOlogie anfängt, wird er zu den Durchgeknallten gezählt. Dafür kann er nichts, aber die UFOlogie schon. Der Umgang mit dem UFO-Thema findet in der Öffentlichkeit mit spitzen Fingern statt und unter dem Kicherfaktor. Gelegentliche, glückliche Ausnahmen bestätigen trotzdem die Regel. Heutzutage braucht man ja nur in ein x-bliebiges UFO-Forum einsteigen, um sich den ufologischen Wind mal um die Nase wehen zu lassen - und zum Glück machen dies die meisten Menschen NICHT. Zum Glück für die Foren und für die UFOlogen dort! Warum? Weil dann sich nicht nur der ´Kicherfaktor´ einstellte, sondern der ´Hand-vor-der-Stirn-Schüttel´-Faktor. Muss man einfach nüchtern so eingestehen.

Während die lokale bzw regionale Presse von Rheinfelden sich überhaupt nicht für das ´UFO-Video´ vom Wochenende bei ihnen zu Hause interessiert und auch an diesem Tag die Geschichte nicht aufgriff*, gab es in Florida dagegen eine andere Entwicklung...

Ziemlich genau drei Stunden später rief mich ein Redakteuer der ´Badischen Zeitung´ leicht ´verschnupft´ an, "weil sich nun neue Aspekte ergeben haben" und deswegen die Zeitung an diesem Mittwoch dann einen Artikel bringen werde...

"Two UFO Sightings in St. Augustine in Two Weeks" meldete jetzt der TV-Sender ´First Coast News/NBC12´ unter http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/... wo sie auch den zu dieser Geschichte passenden Videoclip der Nachrichtensendung finden und erstaunt feststellen werden, dass das deutsche Rheinfelden-UFO-Video so vorgestellt wird, als sei der der von Florida:

>Some strange things have been seen in the skies around St. Augustine... like the orange glowing lights seen near the Castillo de San Marcos this past Saturday. 12-year-old Brandon Puckett says he thinks the video he shot shows UFOs. Puckett said the two fiery balls were flying along the coast in formation. One was slightly in front of the other, but both were going the same speed. Skeptics say the lights in the home video are something called sky lanterns {ähnlichwie hier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdzD... }. Others are not convinced.

Monday, First Coast News learned that Saturday´s sighting is the second UFO report in two weeks in the St. Augustine area. This other sighting was in St. Augustine Beach in the very early morning hours {!} of April 14th. However, that was a different experience. In fact it was down right scary to the people who say they saw it. Bryan Cooper of the St. Augustine Airport took a call from a woman who says she and her husband saw something over the Intra-Coastal Waterway. It was a very large white light {!}. Cooper told First Coast News, "She felt it zoomed at her and charged at her and then stopped fairly close, and then it backed away and hovered a little bit. Then it moved over and came again and pulled back {quasi ein scheinbares An- und Abschwellen des weißen Lichts, welche selbst aber an seinem Platz am Himmel blieb und nur so die Suggestion einer Vor- und Zurückkbewegung hergab, identisch wie im Fall Jimmy Carter 1969!} It scared them so much they went inside." Cooper checked out the airport´s radar from April 14th between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. and found nothing. "However," Cooper explained, "the radar information I have only responds to airplanes or helicopters that have been assigned a transponder code." Nevertheless, Cooper said he believed the witness was sincere and credible.<

Wie Sie sehen, ist es da im US-Journalismus mit UFOs ganz anders als hierzulande (übrigens ging jetzt die lokale Florida-Geschichte von gestern über das größere NBC-Netwerk, siehe http://video.nbc11.com/player/?id=2... und wurde auch von CBS http://cbs4.com/watercooler/ufo.lig... aufgegriffen!). Schade, aber zur zweiten Geschichte fehlt wieder Elementares: Himmelsrichtung, Winkelgradhöhe der Erscheinung - und da der Mann am Airport angab zwischen 2 und 4 h das Radar gescheckt zu haben, wird es wohl um diese Uhrzeit gewesen sein. Trotzdem kann man was dazu als erfahrener UFO-Meldefall-Untersucher sagen: im Nordwesten ging zu dieser Zeit in Florida gerade die auffällige Capella zum Horizont hin unter, was jeden astronomisch Gebildeten zusammenzucken lässt und einen solchen mit langjähriger UFO-Fall-Untersuchungspraxis gleich 2 x. Hoch am Südhimmel dominierte Arcturus. Selbst mit den allerbesten Radar des Planeten Terra wird man diese Sterne nicht verzeichnen können...während man sie aber prächtig sah! Irgendwie hatte dies doch was von der Venus-Fehldeutung als UFO durch Jimmy Carter 1969, fast ein Doppel davon. Was ich auch gleich mal als Kommentar eintrug.

Die ansteckende Wirkung für einen ´UFO-Flap´

Neue Phoenix-Lights! Dann wurde es ´gespenstisch´ wegen der Florida-Geschichte, die auch der TV-Sender WKMG Orlando unter http://www.local6.com/news/15953691... so aufgriff: "Mystery Lights Spotted Flying ´In Formation´ In Fla. Skies". Und plötzlich kam es von KNXV-TV Phoenix/Arizona aus dem ABC-Network ( http://www.abc15.com/news/local/sto... ) so unter der Headline "Unexplained light formations spotted above Valley":

>Did you see them? Several people reported seeing four lights forming various formations above the Valley Monday night. Tony Toporek was talking with his neighbors in north Phoenix when the lights appeared at about 8 p.m. He grabbed his video camera and started taping. Witnesses reported that the lights formed a vertical line, then formed a diamond-shape, followed by a u-shape. The lights reportedly moved from side to side and upward before disappearing one by one. Toporek said the last light vanished and then briefly reappeared before disappearing again. ABC15 contacted several agencies Monday night, including the FAA, Sky Harbor, Luke Air Force Base, and the Phoenix Police Department.  No one could explain what the lights are. ABC15 News and ABC15.com will bring you the latest information as it becomes available.<

"From my position, it looked like they were just hanging {!}, not moving at all," said one man, who called 92-3´s ´Gaydos After Dark.´ He said he "absolutely" saw something. A woman caller said, "It looked like four red tower lights {! - eine ähnliche Beschreibung erhielten wir letzthin auch}, but it was pretty high up in the air. I called my husband and he said, "Get home, what´s wrong with you?" A man in north Phoenix told CBS-5: "They were about 3,000 feet high, approximately. They looked as though they were kind of hovering or floating from west to east, very slowly. They were up there for 15 or 20 minutes. {!}" Those who saw them said the lights were visible about 13 minutes before moving off to the east. Deer Valley Airport, which was the closest air field to the lights, had no explanation for them. Neither did Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport or Luke Air Force Base, which said it had no jets flying at the time. Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said, "A lot of people were reporting seeing some strange lights in the sky around Phoenix last night. Air traffic controllers at the control tower at Sky Harbor saw them. But, we have no idea what they were." Gregor added, tongue-in-cheek, "`It could be aliens coming down to save us from ourselves, you never know. The only thing I do know is if they were coming down, they weren´t talking to air traffic controllers."...<

"Source of Red Lights Over Phoenix Remains a Mystery" titelte Transworldnews - http://www.transworldnews.com/NewsS... Begründung: "The North American Defense Command, which monitors the sky for threats, said they don´t know the source of the lights. Officials from the Luke Air Force Base said none of their aircrafts were in the air Monday night. Air traffic controllers at Sky Harbor Airport say they seen the lights but do not know where they came from." Nett, aber keine der Stellen wird sich mit MHBs auskennen, ist ja auch gar nicht ihr Job. Zweifelfrei mag für sie die Erscheinung mysteriös sein, dennoch ist sie es nicht wirklich. Deswegen ist auch die Schlagzeile "Aviation officials: Source of strange red lights unknown" in der großen Regionalzeitung unter http://www.azcentral.com/news/artic... eigentlich nicht wirklich mit Zugkraft versehen und halbwegs witzlos sowie auch nicht als ufologisches Argument nach dem Motto "Wenn die es nicht wissen, muss es ja echt sein!" einzubringen. Weil nämlich jeder UFOloge, der sich auch ´UFO-Forscher´ nennen mag, hier den Stimulus nicht erkennt, der muss sein Lehrgeld zurückgeben und ab morgen kann er sich mit Briefmarkensammeln beschäftigen. Bilder davon aus dem aufgenommenen Videos ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pdh1... / http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYb5... ) lassen aber nur an Eines denken: Meines Erachtens nach mal endlich KEINE Flares als Phoenix-UFOs (wie hier diese grellen Lichter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRmE... ), dafür aber unsere MHBs bzw China-UFO-Ballons - klar, warum sollten dort nicht auch mal Leute solche Teile aufsteigen lassen? Vielleicht sogar in bewusster Hoffnung daraus eine neue UFO-Hysterie zu erzeugen. Es hat ja in der Silvesternacht bereits in San Diego geklappt, wie Sie als kontinuierliche Leser des Newsticker wissen - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvx4... . Und schon ´explodierte´ die Geschichte in Amerika und FOX griff zu - http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933... . Unglaublich, wenn man z.B. die ablehnende Reaktion in Old Germany zu dem Fall Rheinfelden sieht. Aber es geht ja hier auch um das Mutterland des ´Retro-UFO-Mythos´ - Amerika, wo es einfach einen ganz anderen Umgang mit dem Thema gibt, was zweifelsohne auch wegen dem UFOtainment-Charakter ein Problem ist.

Deswegen sei auch die ´Village Voice´ aus New York zu erwähnen, die unter der Headline "´Phoenix Lights´: Don´t Believe the Hype" ( http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runni... ) mit diesem Beitrag die Notbremse zog:

> Here we go again. A new round of ´Phoenix Lights´ has Arizona´s media going nutty, and Matt Drudge´s interest will only whip up the fervor. As a new formation of lights in the sky becomes the source of fascination in the Grand Canyon State, folks less given to jumping to alien conclusions would do well to keep a few things in mias they watch breathless accounts from TV reporters and pure silliness from newspapers like the Arizona Republic:

1. UFOs are big business. The high ratings that come with UFO stories is so reliable, even networks that are started with more serious purposes, such as the History Channel, continually fall back on dishonest shows about lights in the sky that deliberately leave out information to hype the ´mystery.´ If television is primarily guilty, the Republic is also a big offender. It almost never brings up the fact that one its own reporters, Richard Ruelas, uncovered some of the same facts in the 1997 case that I did at the Phoenix New Times: that the 8:30 pm event was a formation of planes, as seen through a powerful telescope by a young man named Mitch Stanley, and that the 10 pm event was a flare dump over the nearby North Tac bombing range. Instead, the Republic continually refers to the 1997 events as unsolved. (That sells more papers.)

2. Don´t believe eyewitnesses about the altitude of lights at night. The human eye simply can make no judgment about the distance of what are called "point sources" - lights far enough away in a night sky that they have no dimension. Some witnesses in 1997 swore that the "vee," for example was only 20 feet over their heads. Others said it looked thousands of feet away. With the vee covering 200 miles of the state in a half hour (in other words, 400 mph), and Stanley´s telescopic identification, we can safely assume that this group of planes was, indeed, thousands of feet above the earth. People who said they felt they could practically touch the vee, however, weren´t actually wrong, it´s just the tools they were using to make that estimate (their own eyes) were simply inadequate for the task.

3. With all of the ´UFO investigators´ running around Phoenix in 1997 claiming that the vee was invisible to radar, not a single one made a request to the FAA in Albuquerque - where Phoenix skies are actually monitored - for tapes of that night. After eleven days, the FAA told me, those tapes are erased. If anyone requests tapes of this new event, those tapes will be preserved for everyone to see. Instead, reporters at the time kept going back to air traffic controllers at Sky Harbor Airport who monitor commercial traffic coming in for landings, not military formations traveling high over the state.

Fortunately, this time, it looks like there was only one phenomenon on Monday night, which should mean less confusion than in 1997{die Wirklichkeit sieht aber anders aus}, when the fact that there were two separate and very different events confused reporters to no end (and still, to this day, is almost never part of an explanation of what happened then).<

Alsbald kam auch Texas ins Spiel, um die Stephenville-Geschichte ins Spiel zu bringen (worin eigentlich die Ironie liegt). "Strange Lights Reported In The Sky" war die Meldung des Senders KWTX10 ( http://www.kwtx.com/home/headlines/... ): "Some residents of Phoenix are reporting strange lights in the night sky. Callers Monday night reported that they saw four or five red-colored lights in the sky north of the city. The residents reported the lights appeared in a straight line, and also formed a square and then a triangle. They were visible for about 15 minutes before heading to the east and disappearing. Officials at two local airports also saw the lights, but had no explanation for them and the Air Force says the lights weren´t part of any military activities. Earlier this year in Texas, about 200 Stephenville-area residents said they saw what may have been UFOs in the sky over the community in late December and early January and several dozen people including a pilot, county constable and business owners insisted they have seen a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast. Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it. The sightings attracted international attention."

Und schon wurde von einem den Exos nahestehenden PM-Service Käse in Umlauf gebracht und von der Texas-Story abgeguckt und eine vergleichbare Situation wie damals zu suggerieren (worin unwissend für die Leute ein Zynismus liegt, weil dem tatsächlich der Fall ist, wenn auch ganz anders als gedacht): "UFO Alert: The Lights and Military Jets Are Back Over Phoenix ... the Monday night light display seen over Deer Valley and other locations featured red lights. The bright objects morphed into various shapes and sizes, eventually forming a triangular and square shape. At least three U.S. Military jets chased the lights as they moved west to east in the sky...." - http://www.opednews.com/maxwrite/di... .

Und ein früherer UFOlogie-Promoter, Herr Hesemann, äußerte sich schon in einem UFO-Forum dazu überenthusiastisch und um mal wieder zu zeigen keine IFO-Ahnung vom wichtigsten, derzeitigen IFO-Stimuli zu haben: "Die Filme sind sensationell! ... MHB´s sind zwar die Lieblingshypothese unseres UFO-Gurus WW, aber ich wage doch zu bezweifeln, dass die in so präzisen Formationen fliegen..." Was will man sonst von einem uninformierten Möchtegern und soch übergewichtig tuenden "UFO-Experten" erwarten, der noch nicht einmal imstande ist einen Solar-Zeppelin zu erkennen - aber dies ist ja symptomatisch für die meisten UFOlogen. Eine Feststellung die mich sofort an die von IvL ausgegebene Stellungsnahme erinnert, wonach man sich bei MUFON-CES eben NICHT mit IFOs beschäftigt, sondern nur mit den "echten UFOs" - womit ein gewaltiges Problem aufkommt. Nämlich dies, wie man dann die "Spreu vom Weizen" trennen will?! Daraus ergibt sich nämlich das "Pleiten-Pech-und-Pannen"-´Phänomen´ dort. Nicht wissen was wirlich los ist, aber sich so ausgeben wegen den netten Visitenkarten. Aber so kann alles prächtig wunderbar für das Publikum im Bereich des fantastischen Mysteriösen gehalten werden - und genau darum werden diese Leute vom Fandom ´geliebt´.
