Schauen wir also einmal, was jetzt noch geschehen mag.
Muss man einfach neidlos zugeben.
Na also, wieder etwas gemeinnützige Arbeit geleistet!
I don´t believe in little green men - but ... ´ - so kam es heute vom ´Selkirk Advertiser´ ( http://www.selkirkweekendadvertiser... ) dazu:
>A Selkirk housewife spotted a flying saucer last week and came forward to tell The Wee Paper following an earlier sighting in the Ettrick Valley, writes Sally Gillespie. We reported how waitress Pauline Hemsley had woken to see a big bright light in the hills outside her window. She then appealed to anyone else who saw anything to come forward. Margaret Hermiston, 54, answered the call after a similar close encounter. And we have also received reports of strange lights in the sky over Galashiels. Margaret lives at the top of Kingsland Avenue and had pulled back her blinds last Tuesday at 6.40am to be met with a UFO above the hills on the other side of Selkirk. "It was just sitting there, this ball. It was like a star but it was quite a bit bigger and extra-twinkly - it was sort of throbbing and sparkly. It looked like a pair of ball diamante earings I had a couple of Christmases ago," she told us. She watched the ball, which was about 30 feet above the hill she sees from her window, for a few minutes and, deciding she needed a witness, she called to her son Mark. But by the time he arrived it had faded to a tiny dot and looked like a star, she said. "I don´t know if it faded down or moved away because it didn´t lower. It stayed the same height but it went away so fast. It fascinated me. I didn´t know who to tell. My son suggested the police but they would be thinking ´what´s she been on the night before?´ - so I didn´t tell anybody. It´s a lovely view from the window but I didn´t expect to see that in the morning!" She said there are often people out ´lamping´ in the hills she can see, but it was a different sort of light. And even though she said the town is on a plane route, it was not a plane. "I watched for maybe three to five minutes. It glistened. It was a quite a clear day and there were stars in the sky ... It´s an enigma, it puzzled me all day." And she has been looking out to try to see it again. "I would like somebody to tell me what it was." She added: "I´m like Pauline - I´m not sure about these things. I´m open-minded but I don´t believe in little green men and I´d have to see something to convince me." Earlier this month Pauline saw what she thought was a really bright star above Kipp Hill outside her window at Hawkshaw, near Ettrickbridge. "But it was too bright, way too big and too low down. It was just hanging there," she said. The 40-year-old added: "It almost ´flashed´ to become a smaller light with a light on either side and then back to its original form before jumping to about 200 yards along the hill. I always thought I´d be really scared if I came across anything weirdy but I wasn´t bothered. I just snuggled down and thought ´fancy that´ and went back to sleep." Meanwhile, the mystery continues with further reports of sightings in Galashiels this week after Gary Beaumont spotted strange, unexplained lights in the sky above the town.He told us: "I was doing my horse with my mum. I saw a very bright light very low down. No other stars were about and then it was at the other side of me. I told my mum and others several times and then the same happened again the next night."<
´UFO spotted in St Helens´ hieß es beim ´St Helens The Reporter´ ( http://www.sthelensreporter.co.uk/s... ) hierzu:
>A UFO has been spotted hoovering over the East Lancs in St Helens - nightshift worker Michael Simpson, 31, took these snaps using his mobile phone camera. He was cycling home at around 4.30am travelling on the Liverpool-bound carriageway when he was stopped in his tracks by the object, which he estimates to be flying at around 300ft. The incident took place on Wednesday (January 21) near to the Waterside pub. Michael, who is the nightshift kitchen manager at Sainsbury´s distribution depot in Haydock, initially dismissed the sighting as a hot air balloon. He explains: "It was around the height that the police helicopter can normally be seen, so this was my first thought as to what it could be. There was, however, absolutely no sound emitting from the object. I had stopped travelling at this point and the object was moving very slowly and steadily towards me. It could not have been travelling any faster than 40-60 knots. Initially, I thought I could see a shaft of orange or red light shining down beneath the object, but as it crept ever closer it became apparent I was looking at flames. Please, let me be clear; I do not think I saw flames. I know I did."
He did, however, manage to retrieve these stills from the footage which clearly show an unusual object. Michael´s incredible story is not the first UFO sighting in St Helens in recent times. Many sceptics dismiss UFO sighting as simply the European Space Station - something Michael says is not possible because of how low his unexplained object managed to fly. "I have spoken to a lot of people about and the people that know me and know how rationally-minded I am are intrigued," he added. "The people that don´t know me have been dismissive, but that is what you expect. Before I saw this I was open-minded about the chances of life on another planet but thought it unlikely they would be advanced enough to travel to Earth. I´m not so sure now!<
Die ´Highland News´ ( http://www.highland-news.co.uk/news... ) brachte die Headline ´Solution to UFO mystery sighting?´ dazu ins Blatt:
>A North Kessock woman was still mystified this week over a UFO she spotted in the sky above her home. But this week Steven Connor (31), from Alness, held his hands up and stepped forward to explain the mystery lights in the sky could have been Chinese lanterns he released for his two young sons. Mr Connor says the lanterns are all the rage and match exactly the descriptions given by local people of moving lights in the sky. He said: "I received the Chinese lanterns as a novelty present at Christmas. You make a wish and then set them off. I released three on New Year´s Day with my boys, Kyle and Aidan, about the same time as a lady saw the lights in the sky in Alness." And, he revealed: "I also set one off at North Kessock, before New Year, where there was another strange sighting. I was driving to Inverness and I saw a clear patch of ground and thought I would release a lantern to see if it worked. When I read my paper and saw the article about the strange lights I thought ´Oh no! Maybe that was the lanterns I put off´." But, despite reports of people releasing Chinese lanterns as part of the New Year celebrations, Billie Wealleans remains unconvinced these were what she saw. She spoke out after spotting three bright orange lights in the sky above her North Kessock home, which disappeared with astounding speed. A number of lanterns, it has been confirmed, were launched at New Year, but Billie, of Ferry Brae, points out her sighting was on December 29. She said this week: "I have not seen a Chinese lantern, so I really do not know what they look like. I cannot see how they could have stayed so close together like the lights I saw if they were lanterns. I do not even know where to buy Chinese lanterns, but if I find out I will buy three and put them out at night and see if they stick together." And, Billie added: "It does have its serious side. If there is something other than balloons or lanterns, we should be told." Further sightings were reported in Easter Ross and Fort William as well as in the south of England where a wind turbine´s blades were mysteriously destroyed, prompting claims the damage was caused by a UFO.<
´UFO hot spot map pinpoints sightings of orange orbs, black triangles and more´ kam es als Headline vom ´Louth Leader´ ( http://www.louthleader.co.uk/news/U... ) hierzu:
>UFO hunters can now easily track the locations of sightings in the Louth area via a new map. Since August last year we have received numerous reports of strange lights or aircraft seen in the skies over the Louth area, most notable being the recent sightings surrounding the damaged wind turbine at Conisholme. In an interview with the Leader following the Conisholme case, the UK´s leading UFO expert Nick Pope described the Louth area as a current ´hot spot´ for UFO activity. Now we have produced an online map pinpointing local sightings. The map also includes information on the type of object sighted, where and when it was witnessed, and a link to our website stories covering it. + To see the map just click on the ´Louth area UFO hotspot map´ button on the home page of this website.<
´Southampton UFO enthusiast baffled by lights floating above the skyline´ hieß es beim ´Southern Daily Echo´ ( http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/407...
>It´s the latest in a long line of extraterrestrial activity across Hampshire. Two new videos have surfaced on the Internet of unidentified mystery objects hovering above the Southampton skyline. It is the latest in a long line of sightings to suggest that extra terrestrial life is out there and interested in Hampshire. The bright lights were shot from a house in Hedge End by a UFO enthusiast who wished to remain anonymous. He said: "I´m still having trouble trying to work out what they are myself, they are in a fixed position to start and then you clearly see the two lights moving apart." The first of the two videos by the mystery enthusiast shows a bright light floating high above the sky, which appears to flash brightly toward the camera. The second of the videos, filmed only on Wednesday of this week, shows two objects flashing close by to each other before one disappears into the night sky. The new sightings are just two of a number of possible UFO´s to be reported in Hampshire in the last 12 months. The sightings come seven months after the government released papers dubbed the x-files, noting 40 mysterious objects or UFOs spotted in Hampshire over the last ten years.<
>A walker has spoken of how he stared death in the face as he got lost in a blizzard. Alan Hudson, 53, spent 11 hours battling for his life before he was plucked from the snow on Little Whernside after setting off to walk up neighbouring Great Whernside. Mr Hudson, of Tyersal Road, Tyersal, Bradford, was suffering frostbite to both feet and was dehydrated. He was found by volunteers from the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association and airlifted by helicopter to hospital in Middlesbrough. He had spent 11 hours on the fell above Kettlewell, near Skipton, and walked 30 miles on a walk normally only eight miles long and two hours in duration. He was so disorientated, he thought the rescue helicopter lights were a UFO. Back home in Bradford, his wife Janice was waiting in torment for news after being told he was missing at 9pm. She said: "I was horrified - very frightened. I feared the worse and prayed he would be found. I was told he was found at ten and was so relieved, He owns his life to the rescuers." Mr Hudson, who returned home last night, thanked the 49-strong team of volunteers who braved appalling weather to find him. His ordeal began after he had gone with two friends to Kettlewell on Monday. While they stayed at the pub he set off for his walk around Great Whernside Hill. There was no snow in Kettlewell but by the time he had gone some distance the poor weather started. Mr Hudson said: "I´ve been up there dozens of times in all weathers. Sometimes visibility has been really bad but I´ve always been able to see the path and knew exactly where I was. On this occasion the path got covered with snow and somehow I got off it. I tried to trace my footprints back up Great Whernside but they were covered. It was then I realised I was lost and phoned the police." He crawled his way through 4ft drifts, fell into bogs and lost his water bottle and a boot. By this time he was dehydrated and disorientated. He said: "It was really odd when I was eventually found. I saw these lights overhead. I couldn´t hear any noise and thought it was a UFO. I remember shouting and waving to it thinking I didn´t care if it was a UFO, I just wanted to be found." Once in hospital he found he had suffered frostbite to both feet. Harry Long, co-ordinator for the UWFRA, said: "It was a very long time for anyone to be out there in those conditions." Mr Hudson, a self-employed photocopier repairer, plans to return to the fell as soon as he is fit, but with a map and compass.<
