´Nach-Churchill´-Freitag, der 6.August 2010 - während BP im Golf von Mexiko das Ölplattformen-Bohrloch zur Bekämpfung der größten Ölpest aller Zeiten zementiert, wurde auch im alten Drachenreich China der moderne UFO-Aberglaube des magischen Denkens mit exologischen Para-Überzeugungen aus England Dank der Churchill-Foo Fighter*-UFO-Meldung zementiert. Nach unserem Update zur UFO-Multikulti-Wechselwirkung der mehr als nur soziologischen Art geht es frisch in den heutigen Tag, aber ohne falsche Vorstellungen, hinein - so hart die letzten Monate, Wochen und Tage auch waren. Wer hätte es sich Anfang des Sommers gedacht, dass das so schlimm werden würde und sich alles überschlägt - und zwar auf verschiedenen Ebenen? Und ein Ende ist nicht abzusehen, wenn jetzt die UFO-Frucht aufgehen wird, absehbar ist der "Meteor-Schauer" der Perseiden um den 11./12.August herum und das Kommen der Parrot-Flugroboter-´Transformer´-Drohne durch ihre globale Markteinführung. Und das Planetentrio mit der Venus als ´Zentralstern´ bleibt uns ja auch noch erhalten...

Oder denken Sie solche Schlagzeilen wie "Defence files reveal UK intelligence chiefs discussed UFOs" und "UFO X-File banned over mass panic fears" oder "Churchill ordered cover-up of UFO reports during WWII, so say files" bleiben ohne ´anmutige´ Anheizer-Wirkung im UFO-Outer Limits-Denkkosmos der Inspiration und Kreativität? Dies ist der UFO-Image-Mitnahmeeffekt wie beim Impulskauf von süßen Köstlichkeiten an der Warteschlange der Supermarktkassentheke...

Es war einfach eine Weltnachricht bis hin zur ´New York Daily-News´ - http://www.nydailynews.com/news/wor... und der ´Asian Age´ ("´Churchill, Ike covered up UFO encounter"). Im "oranje bollen"-Nachbarland war dies ebenso ein Nachrichtenthema, sogar hinsichtlich eines Staatsgeheimnis (!): "NOS Nieuws Churchill bestempelde ´UFO waarnemingen´ als staatsgeheim", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XneI... . Auch das französische Fernsehen berichtete darüber, siehe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5aX... . Auch in Australien waren die "Churchill´s X-Files", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju_g... , ein TV-Thema, während gestern noch das deutsche TV friedlich schlief...

"Files from 1950´s reveal that Winston Churchill ordered UFO coverup" (was ja so sogar gar nicht stimmt, weil es kein Fetzen Papier gibt, wo genau dies nagordnet wurde, zudem ist der gange MoD-UFO-"Papertrail" dazu auch gar nicht im Kontext ansatzweise stimmig!)

Der politische ´Kriegsheld´ Churchill wurde jetzt auch zur Symbolfigur des UFO-Cover-Ups in England für die UFO-X-Files und das Image bleibt hängen, dass da, wo UFO-Rauch ist und sogar aus Angst vor Panik jener vertuscht wird, auch was an der ´Flying Saucer´-Mythologie dran ist, Punktum! Dabei ist nur eine Kleinigkeit als Mücke zum Medien-Godzilla aufgeblasen worden, was total übersteigerte Fantasien nur weiter nährt, die durch das SF-UFO-Konzept im Volk der Welt sowie schon latent vorhanden sind - und genau diese Dreamland-UFO-Träume sind auch durch das Medien-Bild vom UFO abenteuerlich genährt worden; der ewige Kreislauf mit schmackhafter (Dank künstlicher Aromen aus der UFO-Industrie, dort wird sinnbildlich auch Klebefleisch als Köstlichkeit des Hauses zubereitet - und so als Delikatesse verkauft während der Begriff Gammelfleisch dafür schon fast eine Auszeichnung als Prädikat ist) UFO-Wucht. Die ´Churchill X File UFO Papers´ des britischen MoD von gestern und den medialen Zirkus um dieses Gammelfleisch sprechen wieder einmal für sich.

STRANGE sightings in the sky and unidentified flying objects have been spotted near Tendring Colchester this week. And the sightings have come in the same week that the National Archive released a series of Government UFO files.

Steve Woods, from Prettygate, Colchester, was at home on Sunday morning when he spotted something which was travelling "with the breeze across the sky". He said: "It looks like it was a huge balloon which had broken free and was caught in streams of air across the sky." That evening a resident in Victoria Road, Colchester, also spotted something described as "twice as big as the sun and fiery on all the edges". And another resident, Mr Whitehouse, was sitting outside with his family on Tuesday. He said: "We saw this round shape disk in the sky. It had so many lights on it i was shocked. It wasn´t a plane. It stood still in the air then looked like it was landing in the field so I ran out the back to take a photo and when I got out the back it was gone. I will never forget what I saw. This was no chinesse lantern. It was some kind of ship but not sure what."

The Government files, available at nationalarchives.gov.uk/ufos, have incidents logged and sightings stretching back decades. But none of them are in Essex - with Woodbridge, Suffolk, the nearest location.<

>UFO reports flood in for West Lothian

The people of West Lothian are being urged to watch the sky after a string of reports of unidentified flying objects in the area. UFO website forums across the country have been flooded with reports of strange sights seen in the night skies above Whitburn, Bathgate and Livingston in the past month.

One reader phoned the Courier to describe "strange orange lights" he had seen in the sky over Whitburn last week. The man said he was walking back from the Hillcroft Hotel up to Gleneagles Court with his wife when he saw two triangular orange lights above them. He said: "They looked like they were moving from the Falkirk area to Edinburgh, almost like they were following the route of the M8. They were moving quite quickly but they didn´t make any sound. They would reach a particular point then they would turn black. I watched them for about 45 minutes and I saw six in total and they moved in formation. A dog walker approached us and said they had seen them as well. They told us they had been seeing them for the past two weeks or so. We tried to get a photograph of them but it didn´t turn out. To our naked eyes it was quite vivid and it was a distinct triangular shape. It was the most bizarre thing I have ever seen. It sent shivers up my spine."

The witness added: "I think people are reluctant to talk about it as they think people will laugh at them. I had phoned air traffic control at Edinburgh Airport but they said there was no traffic in the area at the time. They had no explanation for what we saw but said sightings of that nature were very common in West Lothian." A Bathgate woman, identified only as Liz, wrote on website UK UFO Sightings that she had also seen a strange orange light above the town on Saturday night shortly before 11pm. She wrote: "I was lying in bed watching TV and had the blinds opened when an orange ball caught my eye. It appeared from west of Bathgate and headed towards Livingston where it stopped and dimmed before disappearing. It moved much faster than an aeroplane covering this distance in less than five seconds and was much higher than a conventional aeroplane would be. I live up in the hills and can see the surrounding area for miles and I am used to air traffic going to Edinburgh airport but this definitely did not behave as regular aircraft would."

Her report seemed to be backed up by another witness, who spotted four orange lights in the sky near Edinburgh Airport just five minutes later. She wrote: "I live right next to the airport and know it´s not a plane or helicopter. It was very, very strange and definitely too large and bright for Chinese lanterns."

And a Livingston man named Glenn wrote about strange objects he saw in the early hours of July 17. He said: "I was walking the dog then looked skyward into a very heavily clouded sky. There was a large gap in the clouds and I watched eight to 10 red lights at approx 40,000 feet in a triangular formation. They seemed to be moving in a steady formation from east to west over Livingston. They were not planes and not Chinese lanterns and these lights never deviated from their course."

While there is likely to be a logical explanation for most of the sightings such as Chinese lanterns - a paper balloon with a wire frame that floats in the sky while a candle burns inside it to heat up the enclosed air - the story cannot be so easily dismissed, on account of West Lothian being the location of one of the country´s most famous UFO sightings. The incident took place on November 9, 1979, in broad daylight when forestry worker Bob Taylor came across a large object in a clearing at Dechmont Law in Livingston.

In a clearing there was a metallic spherical object around 12 feet high. When Mr Taylor approached it, two smaller spheres around three feet in diameter that appeared to be covered in spikes emerged from the bottom of the large sphere and began rolling towards him. The small spheres grabbed his trousers and dragged him towards the large object, and he passed out. He regained consciousness around 20 minutes later, suffering a sore head and throat and with a bitter taste in his mouth. A subsequent investigation found marks on the ground corresponding to Mr Taylor´s description of what had happened. Both police and ufologists say this encounter is unique as it is the only one ever to have left tangible and recorded evidence, has been verified by the authorities and was the subject of a full police investigation.

>Second UFO sighting spotted near Stansted Airport

A BAMBER´S Green resident has become the second person in the past month to report the sighting of a UFO near to Stansted Airport.

On Monday July 5, a former police officer - identified only as ´Nick R´ - said he saw a UFO and then three ´children-like figures´ disappear from a field close to the flight path of the Essex hub (read the full story at http://www.saffronwaldenreporter.co...

Now, Malcolm Harvey, a resident of Bamber´s Green near Takeley, has written to us to say that he and his 16-year-old son witnessed an identical object hovering near the airport three weeks ago. Mr Harvey said:

"We were turning off the B1256 (from Dunmow), onto the lane towards Bamber´s Green/Stansted Airport. It was 10.30pm and we saw an orange, oval light in the sky above the field; an orange glow emanated from the underneath and it was moving in an easterly direction. It immediately caught our attention as being different to what you would expect to see in the sky at night, so I stopped the car and we watched it for a while. Its trajectory was not constant, it had up and down motion to it, almost like it was hovering, and there were no other lights on it so it could not have been a plane. I turned off the car engine to listen for sound but it was dead quiet, so it wasn´t a helicopter either. As it got further away it disappeared into the distance, but it was certainly the most unexplained thing that I have ever witnessed."

Heute fragte sich Weißbartträger und MJ-12ler Stan Friedman warum bei den MoD-Unterlagen jetzt wieder mal keine Stempelungen wie TOP SECRET "or above" (Jenseits von Top Secret) zur ehemaligen Klassifizierung enthalten sind - und dies ein Hinweis sei, dass das nur SECRET-Kleinkam der Öffentlichkeitkeit gezeigt wird, während ja die absoluten echten Alien-UFO-Geschichten unter Top Secret weiterhin geheimgehalten werden, um zur englischen UFO-Verduschung beizutragen! David Clarke erklärte daraufhin dem alten Mann des Cosmic-UFO-Watergate´s wie das so ist: "The Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) papers from 1957 are marked ´Secret´. The DSI/JTIC papers, already released, were ´Top Secret´, but the conclusion of that study was there was no evidence that UFOs were of extraterrestrial origin and that all further study should stop until such evidence became available. The AMSIS (Air intelligence) study of 1955 and the Defence Intelligence/Condign report of 2000 (both classified as ´Secret/UK Eyes Only´ before declassification). Both reached similar conclusion." Im weiteren betonte Clarke bei seiner gesamten Tätigkeit in Zusammnhang mit dem MoD niemals einen Hinweis an Ort gefunden zu haben, was vom Ansatz her auf was anderes hinausläuft, als die UFO-Industriebeteiligten und UFOlogie-Promoter laufend herumschwätzen. Aber so tröste er UFO-Stan: " I would like to find one tiny scrap of evidence to support your argument, as it would make a far better story for me. But I have to go with where the evidence leads. And alll the evidence I have seen, and had access to, suggests there are no Top Secret documents held by the British Government, that have not already been released, that prove the existence of flying saucers." As our planet passes through this space debris, they collide with the atmosphere at great speed and burn up about 75 miles above the Earth´s surface. Look to the northeast after 10 p.m. You can expect to see anywhere between 40 and 100 meteors an hour.

Falling Stars

While strolling outside on a clear warm night, have you ever looked up at the sky and seen a colorful light streaking across the starry background? If the answer to this question is yes, then you saw what is commonly called a "shooting star." But, what you saw was not actually a star. It was a tiny bit of space debris burning up as it sped through the atmosphere. As they burn, these objects seem to be brighter than the biggest, brightest stars -- but in reality most of them are no larger than a grain of sand.

There are many ancient stories of shooting stars than come from many cultures throughout recorded history. For example, to the ancient Greek civilization they represented stars that fell from the sky and if you were to recover one shortly after the fall you could make a wish for every star found. The Greeks also believed that the star would bring you good luck for the rest of the year. It is from this Greek legend that we get the term falling or shooting star to identify this color display in the sky.

The Native American Indians believed that they were also stars that fell from the sky. According to their mythology, they believed that when a star fell it changed shape and grew a tail and that finding one would bring great power to the individual. It´s interesting to note that some medicine bags that belonged to Indian Shamans included stones that were passed down many generations. These magic stones, or "star stones" as they were called, have been identified as real meteorites.

The people of Europe during the middle ages believed that shooting stars were actually the souls of evil men and women who were not allowed to enter heaven and instead were cast down into the bowels of the earth.

The true nature of shooting stars was not discovered until the middle of the 18th century. Before that time, the idea of a rock falling from the sky was just as ridiculous to scientists of that day as UFO reports are to most astronomers today. However, to the 20th century scientist this luminous phenomenon once known as a falling star is called a meteor. There are two main classifications of meteors, true meteors and meteor showers and they differ greatly.

True Meteors

True meteors are large, solid bodies made up of mostly iron, nickel and stone and can range in size from a few inches to several miles. If these objects are larger than five miles in size they are then classified as an asteroid. For the most part, true meteors orbit the sun between the planets Mars and Jupiter in an area called the asteroid belt. Some of the orbits of these objects are highly elliptical and can bring them into the inner solar system. Some of these meteors even cross the orbit of Earth and if it passes close enough the gravity of our planet will pull it in to our atmosphere. Because of friction, most meteors burn up in the upper atmosphere between 50 and 150 miles up and never reach the ground.

Occasionally, some of the larger ones survive the great heat and make it to the lower atmosphere. When this takes place they can be seen with a blazing light much brighter than the full moon. These spectacular displays are called fireballs and some of them may even explode and send multicolored fragments streaking across the sky in all directions. In 1992, a bright fireball was observed from Kentucky to New York. The object then hit the ground in Peekskill, New York where in damaged an automobile. Luckily the object broke into several pieces and 90 percent of the meteors´ mass burned up in the atmosphere before it hit the ground.

Meteor Showers

Meteors enter the atmosphere of Earth on a regular basis. On any given night you usually can see two or three sporadic meteors per hour. However, at certain times of the year the number of meteors seen is much higher than normal and these periods are called "meteor showers." A meteor shower can last for a few days and are named after the constellation from which they are seen radiating from. For example, a meteor shower that is centered on the constellation of Orion is called the Orionids; a shower centered on the constellation of Perseus is called the Perseids. Although the number of meteors seen during a shower can be as high as 200 per hour, the particles are much smaller than a grain of sand. The debris that burns up in the atmosphere during a shower is the left over material from the tail of a comet. There are many of these lost comet tails circling the sun and when Earth passes through one the particles collide with our atmosphere and create a colorful light show for the mortals below. The intensity of the shower will depend on how dense the particle cloud is when our planet passes through it. Meteor showers can be very spectacular. The Leonid shower of November 13, 1833 produced 150,000 per hour for two hours straight before it finally died down to a normal 40 per hour. This must have been quite a sight at the time and no display has equaled it since then. Below are listed the five brightest meteor showers and their times of greatest intensity.

January 4: The Quadrantids -- This shower radiates over a large area of the sky and as many as 110 meteors per hour have been reported.

May 5-15 : The Aquarid Shower -- Can be seen at 3-4 in the morning in the east.

August 12: The Perseids -- Radiates in the north from the constellation of Perseus. A fine shower with many bright fireballs. The Perseids have produced as many as 80 meteors per hour

October 21: The Orionids -- Often called the "Children of Comet Halley," the Orionids is the actual debris left over from tail of this famous comet. The shower normally produces 40 meteors per hour. This shower radiates out of the center of the constellation of Orion the hunter

November 17: The Leonids -- Radiating out of the constellation of Leo the Lion. The Leonids produce about 10 meteors an hour. However, at times, as in the case of the 1833 apparition, they can surprise you.

December 14: The Geminids -- Radiate out of the constellation of Gemini. As many as 65 meteors per hour have been reported during past showers.

Observing a meteor shower can be a fun and exciting thing to do with family and friends. All you really need is a clear night, a relaxing chair, a warm or cold drink and just your eyes. Happy stargazing!

The McCarthy Observatory located on the grounds of the New Milford High School is open to the public every second Saturday of the month between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. The observatory program is suitable for all ages. The Bowman Observatory, located on the grounds of the Julian Curtiss School, off of Milbank Avenue, is open to the public every second Tuesday of the month. Summer hours should be checked by calling the Bruce Museum.<

Wow, alter Schwede! Da ist mal wieder Deckung angesagt, wenn uns der Himmel auf den Kopf fällt und das komische ´Fire in the Sky´ herniederprasselt

Dann kam eine deutsche Quelle ( http://www.weltderphysik.de/de/4245... ) mit den Perseiden raus und versprach ein "Meteorfeuerwerk der Perseiden":

"Komisches helles Objekt über Eich b.Worms seit 21:15 h in Sicht, und jetzt noch eines oben am Himmel"

Um ziemlich genau 22:30 h meldete sich Herr G. aus Eich, der seit 21:15 h besonders interessiert den freien Himmel beobachtet, weil er da "zuerst tief im Südwesten-Westen ein grell-weißes Ding oder Objekt" sieht, welches ihn irgendwie besonders interessierte, weil sonst nichts am Himmel zu sehen war und er direkten Blick vom Balkon darauf hatte. Es gab keinerlei Geräusch von sich und war eigentlich auch unbeweglich einfach so da oben stehend. "Nur alle paar Minuten fiel auf, dass das Ding sich doch nach rechts und tiefer bewegt hatte", um 21:45 h kam dann noch oben "im Himmel" ein weiteres Objekt hinzu, welches sich genauso verhält. Als G. sich meldete war das erste "Lichtgebilde" hinter den Häusern verschwunden und nicht mehr in Sicht, aber das zweite Gebilde, "schwächer im Licht, das muss ziemlich weit weg sein" war hoch am Himmel ummer noch in Sicht, "zeigte aber ab und an irgendwelche nicht genauer zu definierenden Farben". Inzwischen kamen langsam auch die Sterne raus, "aber sind alle schwächer..., und keiner ist so hell wie das Ding vorhin"...

Da diese Objekte (Venus und Arkturus) derzeiten immer zu dieser Zeit so und dort zu sehen sehen, erklärte ich dies dem Mann, der aber schlagfertig triumphierend - um mich wie auszubremsen: "Ich habe seit Montag Urlaub und bin um die Zeit jeden Abend auf dem Balkon - ich bin mir ganz sicher, dass diese Dinger die ganze Woche noch nicht da waren!" Ich fragte zurück, wie da das Wetter in Sachen Himmelssicht war. G. nach kurzem Überlegen: "Teilweise Sauwetter, na Wolken..." Na dann.. Der Mann hängte grußlos ein...
